Jared Van Hooser, PharmD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy. Dr. Van Hooser earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Minnesota and completed an ambulatory care pharmacy residency through the University of Minnesota at Essentia Health in Duluth, Minnesota.
At the College of Pharmacy, Dr. Van Hooser serves as the director of the Pharmaceutical Care Learning Center, course directs Pharmaceutical Care Skills Labs, and is involved in multiple interprofessional education activities; including the development, facilitation, and assessment of interprofessional education activities.
He provides comprehensive medication management and collaborates with the interprofessional healthcare team at St. Luke's Mount Royal Medical Clinic in Duluth, Minnesota. At his practice site, he also serves as an ambulatory Care preceptor and preceptors learners from IPPE students to PGY-2 residents in an interprofessional setting.
