Assistant Clinical Professor, Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experiences Coordinator

Lena McDowell, PharmD, is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice at Auburn University Harrison College of Pharmacy (HCOP). She serves as the Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experiences (IPPEs) Coordinator and oversees the five IPPEs: community, health-system, clinical, health and wellness, population health. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences from Auburn University and a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Auburn University HCOP. She completed a PGY-1 Community Pharmacy Residency at the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy. She joined the HCOP faculty in August of 2017. Her clinical practice site is located at the Auburn University Employee Pharmacy. She implements clinical pharmacy services and precepts Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience and IPPE students. Her areas of focus include experiential education and comprehensive medication management, specifically medication adherence.
