Rucha Bond, PharmD is the Associate Dean, Experiential Education at Virginial Commonwealth University School of Pharmacy. Dr. Bond earned her PharmD from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2003 after receiving a BS in psychology from Mississippi State University. She completed a PGY1 residency at Lovelace Medical Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 2004 and worked as a clinical pharmacist with the Lovelace Sandia Health System for the next three years. In 2007, she joined the University of New Mexico (UNM) College of Pharmacy (COP) faculty as an assistant professor where she was an ambulatory care practitioner and instructor in both the didactic and experiential settings. In 2014 she served as Interim Director of Experiential Education for the UNM COP, then relocated to middle Tennessee where she practiced in community pharmacy and was an adjunct professor at Belmont University. In 2018 she joined the faculty of Virginia Commonwealth University School of Pharmacy as the Associate Dean of Experiential Education and Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacotherapy and Outcomes Sciences. She is the 2023 recipient of the AACP Experiential Education Section Excellence in Experiential Education Award.
