Jennifer Wisniewski is an Assistant Professor at the Medical University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy. Within the didactic curriculum, Jennifer coordinates three laboratory courses which focus on health-systems pharmacy practice. She also precepts students and residents on an Elective Academic Rotation in which learners are incorporated into these laboratory courses to learn about and utilize evidence-based teaching methods. Jennifer’s passion is creating supportive environments to a culturally diverse learners which encourages them to explore, theorize, analyze, and create innovative practical solutions as early as possible in their training program. She is dedicated to using evidence-based teaching methodologies to create optimal training environments to increase student engagement, student interest, enhance learning, and improve long-term retention. Using a variety of teaching methods, such as gamification, within her courses has not only improved student-centered outcomes but has improved her own satisfaction in and enjoyment of class sessions.
