Seth Heldenbrand received his PharmD degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) College of Pharmacy (COP) in 1997. He returned to UAMS to complete a PGY1 pharmacy practice residency at the UAMS in 2003. In 2016 he completed a fellowship in the Academic Leadership Fellows Program offered by AACP.
Dr. Heldenbrand is an Associate Dean of Experiential Education (EE) at the UAMS COP. Additionally, he serves as the director of the interprofessional APPE Grand Rounds, student-led continuing education programs and is responsible for the accredited interprofessional continuing education programming locally and across the region.
Locally, Dr. Heldenbrand currently serves as chairman of the board of the Arkansas Regional Organ Recovery Agency. He is a member of the Arkansas Pharmacist Association and assists with their programing and as a subject matter expert on EE.
Nationally, Dr. Heldenbrand’s has held multiple leadership positions with the American Society of Transplantation (AST) and the EE Section. He is known for founding the NCPA Foundation-UAMS Pharmacy Ownership and Leadership Academy and for mentoring students in the NCPA Business plan competition. He is an active member in the AACP where he serves as a judge for the Master Preceptor Recognition Program and in the EE Section, an abstract reviewer, and has served as the co-chair of the Mapping EPAs Taskforce. He also serves on the advisory board for MyMeds, a digital medication adherence technology company.
Dr. Heldenbrand’s previous professional experience includes practicing as a clinical pharmacy specialist in solid organ transplant.
