Dr. Danielson leads the teams that operate Experiential Education and Student Professional Development at the University of Washington School of Pharmacy. She also serves as the academic lead for the school on implementing and teaching the interprofessional education (IPE) curriculum. Her classroom teaching is focused on practice skills and diabetes education/prevention, which stems from her practice background in primary care ambulatory setting. She assists in the development and delivery of faculty and preceptor training programs, and promotes pharmacists in developing new clinical teaching sites. She has been instrumental in implementing a mentoring program through out the curriculum and mentors students at multiple levels. She graduated with her bachelors in pharmacy and masters in business administration from Drake University and got her PharmD at University of Colorado. She has spent over 25 years of her career in academia and has published over 30 articles, books, and book chapters. She has presented both internationally and nationally about advancement of experiential and interprofessional education. Her interests in scholarship blend assessment of IPE strategies with educational experiences in the practice setting.
