Dr. Suzanna Gim, PharmD, MPH completed her Doctor of Pharmacy at the University of Maryland and trained in drug information at UPMC, before joining the clinical faculty of LIU Pharmacy in 2005 where she also provided formulary management services at Brookdale Hospital, then NYU Medical Center in 2017. A strong interest in global health led her to complete an MPH at NYU and develop LIU Pharmacy’s first international rotation in 2009 to Sierra Leone. Her international work is rooted in sustainability of projects and improving social capital through training of local community workers and professionals in resource poor areas. As Director of International Affairs, the international opportunities for students, faculty and alumni have expanded while strengthening partnerships for advancement of pharmacy practice globally and increasing awareness in the LIU community. International affiliations include Thailand, Guyana, Honduras, Costa Rica, Austria & Bangladesh. She also serves as a leader, advocate and University representative of the College faculty as Faculty Council president and executive board member of the faculty union. She is an active member and contributor in national and international organizations such as FIP, CUGH, APHA and AACP. She was also selected to be an AACP ALFP fellow in the current Cohort 18 during 2021-2022.
