Elina Delgado, PharmD, BCPS is an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at William Carey University and maintains a practice and experiential site in Ambulatory Care at Slidell Memorial Hospital. She received her BA in Chemistry from Texas A&M University and completed a dual Doctor of Pharmacy and Masters of Arts in Administration degree program at the University of the Incarnate Word. She went on to complete a PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago, followed by a PGY-2 Geriatric Pharmacy Residency at South Texas Veterans Health Care System in San Antonio, TX and Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy. Dr. Delgado currently teaches in Pharmacotherapeutics, Patient Care lab, and in the Introductory Pharmacy curriculum, as well as actively participating in the development of SMH PGY1 Pharmacy residents. Her research interests include closing healthcare disparities, transitions of care, and student consumerism.
