Duc Do, Ph.D., serves as Assistant Dean for Student Affairs at the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy (UGA COP). He oversees recruitment, admissions, student services and student success initiatives for the college's Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program. Duc Do also coordinates advising and student success programs for undergraduate pharmaceutical science students as well as PharmD students at the College of Pharmacy. Dr. Do attended the University of Georgia, where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in biology. He later attended Mercer University, where he received his Ph.D. in pharmaceutical sciences (pharmaceutics). Following his formal training, Dr. Do served as assistant professor in the School of Pharmacy at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. In 2010, he joined the faculty of Chicago State University College of Pharmacy (CSU COP), where he quickly moved up the ranks as assistant professor to a tenured associate professor and then interim associate dean for student affairs. He has received numerous accolades and awards, including "Teacher of the Year" for six consecutive years, the CSU Faculty Excellence Award, and the CSU COP Dean's Award for Faculty Excellence. Dr. Do has over 60 publications and presentations. He has presented on student leadership development, co-curricular and academic support at NASPA conferences. Currently, he serves as a member of the Editorial Board for many scientific journals. Dr. Do is a member of several scientific and professional organizations, including the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) and NASPA.
