Lisa Lebovitz, JD, MS is Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs and Assessment at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy. She is an alumna of Duquesne University School of Law and of the UMSOP Master of Science in Medical Cannabis Science and Therapeutics. Ms. Lebovitz oversees the School’s institutional assessment plan, strategic planning process and annual monitoring, faculty effort analysis and reporting, and programmatic assessment of Doctor of Pharmacy curricular effectiveness and achievement of student learning outcomes. She is the School’s institutional effectiveness liaison for reporting to the University of Maryland Baltimore campus, University System of Maryland, and professional program and regional accrediting agencies. She works closely with department chairs and faculty constituents in multiple committee forums to garner buy in, promote transparency and engage individuals in critical assessment to improve evidence-based decision making in the School. Ms. Lebovitz designs surveys and tools to guide the School in continuous improvement, and performs critical analyses of milestones and strategic goals that aid the leadership of the School towards effectively utilizing resources and achieving goals. She facilitates program expansion through dual degrees and negotiations with external parties in the area of instructional agreements. Ms. Lebovitz also participates in the Pharmacy Assessment Collaborative of the Big Ten Academic Alliance (BTAA-PAC). She has published and presented on many topics such as pharmacist workforce trends, faculty diversity, and other areas of interest to pharmacy school leadership.
