Jingyang Fan, PharmD, BCPS is the Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs and a Clinical Associate Professor at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville School of Pharmacy. Prior to joining SIUE, Dr. Fan served as an Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice at the University of Southern Nevada (now Roseman University). Dr. Fan received her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Illinois at Chicago and subsequently completed a pharmacy practice residency (PGY-1) at the University of Kentucky, where she also obtained a Certificate for Scholarship of Teaching and Learning. As Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs, Dr. Fan oversees the development, implementation, and assessment of the curriculum. She serves on the Educational Technology Committee at the school and the Teaching, Learning, and Technology Advisory Group at the university level. Dr. Fan has spearheaded the implementation and training of several instructional technology solutions at SIUE, including the development of the Clinical Training Center and the incorporation of simulation software in skills labs, interprofessional simulations, and performance-based assessment (PBA). Dr. Fan enjoys outside the box thinking and utilizing technology to streamline workflows. Dr. Fan has been a member of various AACP SIGs for many years. She is the 2022-2023 incoming chair of the Technology in Pharmacy Education and Learning (TiPEL) SIG.
