Laura Fox, Ph.D., is Professor of Pharmaceutics at Presbyterian College School of Pharmacy in Clinton, South Carolina where she teaches pharmacokinetics, pharmaceutics, and leadership development. After earning a Ph.D. in pharmaceutics with emphasis in pharmacokinetics from the University of Georgia in 1998, Dr. Fox completed a graduate certificate in Education Research Methodology from the Measurement, Evaluation, Statistics, and Assessment program at the University of Illinois Chicago in 2015. In 2018, Dr. Fox achieved a certificate in Women in Leadership from Cornell University and in 2019, completed the AACP Academic Leadership Fellows Program. She has served in various administrative roles with responsibilities in assessment, accreditation, student affairs, and admissions. Previous research efforts centered on the scholarship of discovery, focusing on the elucidation of pharmacokinetics of novel compounds during drug development. Current research interests are in the scholarship of teaching and learning, including student regulation of metacognition and learning, and the scholarship of application, focusing on the physical compatibility of admixtures. Dr. Fox enjoys involving students in research and has mentored professional and graduate students in award-winning research projects.
